Thermal Protection for the Drive and Motor

The ETR (Electronic Thermal Relay) is an open loop method built into the VLT 5000 Series software to guard against motor overheating - requiring no additional sensors or wiring. This function is UL recognized (Class 20) as an effective guard against motor thermal overload.

The VLT 5000 Series has drive thermal protection and also accepts thermistor signal input from the motor to create closed loop thermal protection for the entire system.

  

Since 2002, SEPARATORS, Inc. has offered the Danfoss VLT 5000 series line of variable frequency drives for centrifuge use. We can supply VFDs in any H.P./voltage range that your centrifuge application requires. Not only can we supply you with a VFD at time of machine sale, but we can also provide you with VFDs for use on your existing Wye/Delta or Y/YY motors as well as direct drive conversions for most clutch driven centrifuges.

When your VFD arrives, all you have to do is mount and wire the drive. SEPARATORS, Inc., along with the Danfoss drive specialists, have already done the engineering! Your drive comes pre-programmed with the correct parameters to properly start and run your centrifuge.

The VFD can easily be incorporated for use into some existing centrifuge control panels. If you need access to start, stop and monitoring of your VFD, we can supply an affordable HMI unit. The HMI can be installed in an exiting panel and is programmed and ready to run your VFD application.
