2023 Summer Internship Proposal
Job Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Much of the work we do at separators is accomplished in the field. This project will provide our service team with a way to verify that the equipment they are using is still in working condition. These two projects will be for the duration of the summer and the focus.
The proposed project for the intern will involve creating a method to verify and test centrifugal disc stack compressors, in the field, to ensure that the proper pressure value is reached when used. The intern will also have the opportunity to develop a method of using “Enerpac” hydraulic pumps to rebuild the vertical drives of Alfa Laval separators.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a method to test and verify OEM disc stack compressors are reaching their rated pressure.
- Develop and implement a method for using “Enerpac” hydraulic pumps to disassemble and rebuild the vertical drives on Alfa Laval Separators/Centrifuges.
Qualifications
- Applicant must be in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- Able to work 40 hours a week.
- Able to work in a shop environment.
