In just a few short days, I’ll be attending the 2018 International Cheese Technology Expo. This event, which takes place April 17-19 at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee, WI, is an opportunity for attendees to increase their understanding of, exposure to, and expertise in the cheese industry. The Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association describes the event like this:
“A gathering of over 3,500 cheese industry leaders, suppliers, marketers, and more will gather to share information about the latest in cheese technology, new products, whey opportunities, product safety, marketing, and additional issues affecting our industry. Nowhere else in the world will you find the collection of cutting-edge cheesemaking equipment, business insight, and networking opportunities that ICTE delivers.”
There’s no doubt about it, cheese is big business, and I’m thrilled to be there representing Separators at this event. There’s a lot of benefit to attending, and if you do happen to be there, stop by booth 310, say “hello,” and chat about dairy separator technology. Here are a few reasons I’m looking forward to the 2018 International Cheese Technology Expo (ICTE).

For anyone looking to network in the cheese industry, ICTE is the place to be. Everyone from food safety experts and artisan cheesemakers to plant managers and research scientists is going to be there. You’ll find that this expo really is a who’s who of the cheese industry.

Each year, the ICTE brings countless opportunities for attendees to learn and grow. And in my experience, the topics are well organized and impactful. This year, ICTE seminars are focused around five key themes:

- Pathogen control and food safety
- Cheese quality issues and solutions
- Growth opportunities in specialty cheese
- Whey and dairy proteins
Getting Inspired
Finally, the International Cheese Technology Expo is a great opportunity to get inspired. There are cheese industry professionals from every walk of life and from every corner of the planet all in a single place at the same time. It’s a great destination for industry leaders, innovators, and hopefuls.
